Sign Motor Oil

Great colors on this rare Valvoline sign. I could not find another like it. I do not know for sure when it was made. I do not see a date on it and have not and will not take it out of the frame to see if there’s one underneath. This was found in a local oil distributors warehouse hidden in the rafters. He kept the sign in better condition and has it on display and will not sell it. Mainly signs from the 50’s thru 80’s. It’s in as found condition and could use a better cleaning with soap and water. The wood does have some wear here and there. I assume the only way to hang this is drill thru the wood frame or install wire across the back. I see no evidence of it being hung previously or touch ups. It appears to be painted. I’m not 100% sure. I included a picture at an angle (close up “P”) to help you determine for yourself. Appears they painted the base, then letters, then went around the letters in black to clean it up. If additional pictures are required, feel free to ask. My zip code is CA 93306.
