Rare Vtg Early Logo Phillips 66 Orange and Black 1QT Tin Motor Oil Can GC Empty

This is a very rare early logo Phillips 66 oil can in good vintage condition. Bottom has been professionally restored and therefore this can is about 1/8th inch shorter than it used to be. It has a dent from being slightly crushed at the bottom edge on one side, a few stains, some light scratching and small areas of paint loss and a tiny amount of surface rust at the bottom of the solder seam, on the bottom and lid.. The graphics are strong and it displays very well. It was opened from the top with a church key opener. It was part of a private collection that was kept wrapped in paper and stored. Rare Vintage Early Tin Litho 1QT Phillips 66 Trop Artic Motor Oil Can Full VGC

This is a very rare seldom seen tin litho can with a solder seam from the early 1950s introducing the all weather motor oil Trop Artic by Phillips Petroleum company. The graphics are still great and this can is in very good condition for it’s age, still full of SAE 50 oil. The lithograph picture has green and orange stripes with palm trees and an igloo to represent all weather conditions. This can has a few minor condition issues which include a few small dings, some paint loss and scratching, surface rust and staining on the seam, bottom of can and lid. I see no sign of leaking. Over all this is a great example of this scarce can and is the only one I have. It was part of a private collection that was kept wrapped in paper and stored.
