This is a very early and rare original porcelain Mobil sign with rare detailed Pegasus. I read in past that this design of pegasus and facing left is pre 1920s. Sign has one side with pegasus the other with Gargoyl, The gargoyl side may have been towards the sun it has more wear and fading as shown The Pegasus side has more shine. I think this may be foreign since the Spirit ones are usually not US ones. Original Vintage DSP Stanocola Polarine Motor Oil Flange Sign. Standard Oil Company of Louisiana. Nice graphics and color. Im guessing its from 30s/40s era. Im sure it can be cleaned to make it pop more, but that will be buyers preference. Im guessing it weighs a good 12-15 lbs. See pics for a better detailed description. It does have its flaws. This version of the sign is harder to find. Awesome shape for the age, 13.5″ x 16″ approx.. It will clean up some. LOOK at the pictures. This is what you are going to get. Its not the Mona Lisa! This is an Antique Original The Texas Company Texaco Double Sided Enamel Porcelain Flange Sign. 18″ x 23″ with a 2 flange. Based on research It is either from the 1930’s or even older & from the 1920’s! Most of the real signs have a white painted flange. The reproductions seem to have red or black flanges. Not sure if the originals were made in black or red? This sign has some imperfections like chips and edge wear etc. Please look at all pictures and more are available upon request.
